I served as program manager for Columbia's Engineers Without Borders (EWB) - Morocco chapter between 2017 and 2018. While there, I oversaw and directed the efforts of 30+ students towards the implementation of the world's first high-density polymer simple suspension footbridge and the development of a 7km clean water distribution system. I also ensured compliance with professional standards and managed relationships with EWB-USA and sponsors. Additionally, my co-program manager and I resolved a $10k debt that a previous program manager had incurred.
I learned a ton about project management through this experience. However, most of all I am thankful to have met and supported some of the most tenacious people I know through EWB.
