Gartner is the world's leading research & advisory company. As a part of Gartner's Business Rotational Development program, I interned on the High Tech (HT) Product Management Team. I collaborated with the team on defining engagement metrics and created an updatable engagements dashboard in PowerBI to provide actionable insights for product managers and sales teams to increase client growth and retention for a new product portfolio (valued at $180M+).
Additionally, I built a digital tool for automatically mapping 15,000+ job titles to various job role categories to understand if customers were appropriately targeted for role-based products. Compared to previous methods for doing this process, my tool resulted in a 200x reduction in time and an increase in accuracy to about 95%. I also uncovered and investigated a year-old discrepancy in historical retention data which impacted multiple teams and the CEO.
My time at Gartner helped me really understand what it means to "measure what matters" and how to get there, and I am appreciative of my experience there.
